Meet Your Psychologists

Karyn L. Gust-Brey, Ph.D. has been a licensed psychologist since 2000. She worked in the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (DOC) Division of Juvenile Corrections (DJC) for 13 years as a psychology intern and a licensed psychologist. She currently works for the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) where she completes inpatient competency evaluations, competency restoration treatment, and psychological evaluations in an adult forensic program, as well as periodically providing psychological services to youth placed at the institution because of an adjudication of delinquency. She has taught graduate assessment courses and has supervised practicum students, predoctoral interns, and postdoctoral fellows in assessment. Rachel Reinders-Saeman, Ph.D., LPC, is a post-doctoral fellow in psychology. She has been a licensed professional counselor since 2017. She has worked in community-based clinics as well as inpatient facilities. She is fluent in Spanish, and is able to conduct psychological evaluations with Spanish-speaking individuals. Alaina Kroes, M.S. is a postdoctoral fellow in psychology.  She works with children of all ages and enjoys conducting psychological evaluations.  Her experience includes providing therapy and psychological evaluations to adults, adolescents, and children in forensic and community-based settings.  Her research interests include the parent-child relationship, and she is completing her dissertation on this subject.  She has experience conducting psychological evaluations for learning difficulties, diagnostic clarification, behavioral disturbances, and emotional disturbances.  She completed her internship at the Department of Corrections.  Email Dr. Kroes at Alainakroes@psychassess.net

Bridget Springmire, Psy.D. is a post-doctoral fellow in psychology. She received her doctorate in Clinical Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She recently completed her internship with the Bexar County Juvenile Probation Department in San Antonio, Texas where she conducted individual as well as group therapy for detained adolescents and completed court-ordered psychological evaluations. While on internship she also gained experience in conducting forensic assessments for adolescents, including fitness, responsibility, and risk evaluations. Her primary areas of interest include psychological assessment and working in forensic settings.
